Full automatic high-level language conversion is a non-starter, but a good approximation can be attained. The paper considers a number of compromises taken to convert Pascal-SC to Ada. The authors do not shun crude compromises: e.g., the Pascal with-statement is translated into a comment urging the user to watch out.
